Yes! Landrover do make bikes! This model was introduced about 10 years ago as a serious entry into the professional MTB scene. It did not get good reviews or results and was dropped quickly. The reviewers' only positive was the immensly strong and rigid frame, which is the basis of this particular bike. In fact, the frame and wheels are the only survivors,the rest is either new or good used parts from my spares box. The frame is a massive welded box section in a very strong configuration, yet quite light. The frame has fittings for V brakes ( which are used) and for hydraulic and mechanical disc brakes. Frame size is rather meaningless with this extreme geometry...I am 5'10" and the setup in the photos suits me, significantly taller people could have a problem. Forks are RST and are adjustable, in working condition and rust-free. Transmission is Shimano 24 speed with new rapid-fire shifters ( original only had 7 gears). A new 8-speed cluster is supplied. The headset is a DNA aheadset. Wheels are the original alloy rim "bigfoot" and are smooth and true and shod with 26" x 1.95 knobblies, useable but with some cracking from standing. All new cables, inner and outer, are fitted and all bearings have been replaced and adjusted. The paintwork has seen better days but there is no structural damage.
